- The Library of Congress - the "American Memory" database has literally thousands of documents that are searchable and amazing!
- National Archives Primary Source Analysis - searchable database from the Archives. Note the blue box with document analysis worksheets! Also, use their site to search for documents.
- The Avalon Project at Yale
- The Modern History Sourcebook
- Atlanta History Center "Album" - database of 10,000+ images from the Kenan Research Center at the AHC documenting people, places, and events in Atlanta from 1895-1992.
- Colonial Williamsburg Research Portal - focused on Colonial era sources, but often has more contemporary offerings in their newsletter or teacher resources.
- From Revolution to Reconstruction...and what happened afterwards - digital documents with decent background in many cases
- History Central - another documents database, broken down by era.
- National Atlas - an interactive map database that lets you "customize" maps based on the most recent data! Go to the "Map Maker" section to create...
- LIFE Photo Archive - linked through a Google search, this is an archive of photos from LIFE Magazine - some published, some unpublished in its pages. They're Amazing!
